(May. 10 1:01 PM) - Minnesota-based chamber group Accordo is described as "some of the very best instrumentalists in the country, eager to share their love of classical and contemporary chamber music." This final of three concerts in their 2012 Winter/Spring Season will be performed at National Historic Landmark Christ Church Lutheran, one of the Twin Cities' great architectural treasures designed by the esteemed architect Eliel Saarinen and his son Eero Saarinen.

(May. 2 6:25 PM) - The Guthrie's 2012-13 season features three major Tony Award nominees, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris and Other Desert Cities by Jon Robin Baitz, which were both nominated for Best Play. The Guthrie’s upcoming season also features Roger Rees as director of Crispin Whittell’s new play The Primrose Path. Rees has been nominated for a 2012 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for his work on Peter and the Starcatcher.

This song-filled delight—based on the iconic 1953 Paramount Pictures film starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck—includes timeless music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Paul Blake. The production will play from June 9 – August 19 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage and features soul-stirring Porter standards like “Easy to Love,” “Just One of Those Things” and “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye.” Guthrie Associate Artistic Director John Miller-Stephany (1776, God of Carnage and A Streetcar Named Desire) will direct.

(Apr. 20 12:30 AM) - Park Square Theatre presents John Patrick Shanley’s Tony-award-winning play, Doubt, A Parable, April 20-May 13. The play, which also won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, confronts the issues of hierarchical power, control, uncertainties and doubt. Set in a Catholic school in the Bronx in the 1960s, Doubt tells the story of an old-school, no-nonsense nun who considers charging a charismatic young priest with her unproven allegations. The drama takes place in a school much like the one playwright Shanley attended.
