Virginia Stage Company is thrilled to announce their milestone 40th Anniversary Season. Their current season is one of the most highly attended in the past decade, and the 2018/2019 Season promises to be even more spectacular. Over the past forty years, Virginia Stage has told stories that examined community, family and friendship, and this season follows in those footsteps. The 2018/2019 Season will celebrate "our town." Themes of community, family and friendship run through all these plays and musicals, while ranging widely in aesthetic style, tone, and whose story is being told.

Michael Kahn today announces Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2018-2019 Season. With two world premieres from celebrated playwrights, a multiple Tony Award-winning presentation, a dynamic adaptation of a classic novel, two Shakespeare plays and a group of acclaimed directors and artists, it is an ambitious grand finale for STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn, who will retire from the company at the end of the Season.

PROFILE THEATRE presents a production of the comedic drama 2.5 Minute Ride by Pulitzer and Tony-winning playwright Lisa Kron. Riding the rails of humor and horror, this solo performance features NYC-based actor Allison Mickelson, who recently impressed audiences at Portland Center Stage in Lisa Kron's award-winning musical Fun Home. It will be directed by Jane Unger, Profile's founding artistic director, and marks the first full (double!) season for Profile's ambitious new Artistic Director Josh Hecht, as well as the third year of the Diversity and Inclusivity Initiative.

Palo Alto Players' Artistic Director Patrick Klein will announce the theatre company's 88th season, Sunday, January 28 at 5 pm at the Lucie Stern Community Center Ballroom in Palo Alto. This event is FREE and open to the public ($15 admission after January 24th) and includes complimentary drinks, light refreshments, and a first-look at the five shows comprising the 2018-19 season. Attendees will have the opportunity to guess the season in a fun and interactive setting before the season is unveiled. George Street Playhouse Announces Cast Of AMERICAN HERO

George Street Playhouse, now located at 103 College Farm Road in New Brunswick, announced today that Playhouse favorites John Bolger (last season's American Son, 2014's Outside Mullingar) and Armand Schultz (The Spitfire Grill, Jolson Sings Again), as well as Broadway's Kally Duling (Fun Home) and Laiona Michelle (Amazing Grace) have been cast in Christopher Demos-Brown's gripping military drama American Hero, on stage January 30 through February 25.
