Shaw Festival Posts Significant Fundraising Results For 2022 Season
During the Shaw Festival's Annual General Meeting, Treasurer Greg Prince announced the Shaw Festival attained operating revenues of $35.7 million – The Shaw's largest operating revenue level ever – and posted an operating surplus of $7,000 for the 2022 season, the most multi-faceted and extensive season yet produced at The Shaw.

During the mid-afternoon proceedings, Treasurer Greg Prince announced to an online audience of patrons, donors and company members that the Shaw Festival attained gross revenues of $26,632 million and posted an operating surplus of $113,891 in 2021.

At the Annual General Meeting earlier today, Andrew M. Pringle fulfilled his duties as the Shaw Festival's Chair of the Board of Governors. During his remarks, Mr. Pringle passed the torch to Chair Designate Peter Jewett and announced new Board members Ian Joseph, Kevin Patterson and Julian Rance.

On December 8 & 9, Irish Arts Center will present Christine Tobin Sings Leonard Cohen. For this two-night event, multi-award winning Irish jazz and world music singer Christine Tobin, whom The Guardian has praised as having a "24 karat voice," will perform songs from her album A Thousand Kisses Deep (Trail Belle Records 2014), her salute to singer, songwriter, and poet Leonard Cohen.

Shively of Bright Star will join the cast of MuseMatch VII: Songs for Sophia, an evening that seeks to answer the question, 'What happens when 15 composers go on a blind date with 15 singers?,' will be presented Saturday June 18th, 2016 , at 11:30 PM at 54 Below. Produced by Bill Coyne and Ariel Dobshinsky, all proceeds will benefit Sophia Maglione, an 8-year old girl who is fighting her second bout of Medulloblastoma.
JERSEY BOYS Sets New Box Office Record at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts
The San Jose engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS has broken the box office record at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts, grossing $1,323,302 for the week ending July 20, 2014. This tops the previous record of $1,203,554 held by THE LION KING in 2006. The San Jose engagement of JERSEY BOYS was part of the Broadway San Jose series, a Nederlander Presentation.
